Honor the Legacy
In 1993, Dom began a long and distinguished career as a firefighter and paramedic in the cities of Poway, Oceanside, and Santa Monica. He ultimately retired from the Santa Monica Fire Department in March 2023. During his career, he touched numerous lives serving these communities, dwarfed only by his dedication to supporting friends and family in times of need.
He loved his family, friends, brothers and sisters in the fire department. His legacy remains with those who knew him, especially the lives he touched with his service. Dom cherished his time with his wife Alexa, daughter Sydney, and dogs, Max and Oreo.
Dom was a member of the firefighter community. He, among others, were honored during IAFF 2023.
Dom's memorial service was hosted by the St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica in August 2023.
The Santa Monica Firefighters Relief Fund meant the world to Dom because of their mission.
The fund was established to aid families of firefighters who bravely served their community. It served those who became seriously injured, suffered catastrophic illness, or were killed in the line of duty. This non-profit organization assists families with related costs such as medical procedures, equipment, and funeral expenses. The funds are also appropriated to support local schools, youth groups, and civic organizations in the Santa Monica community.
